The Customs and Excise Department has always been a leader in the use of information technology. The department is currently getting ready to embark on yet a further enhancement of it's IT system. ASYCUDA World promises to significantly improve the Customs IT system used for assessing declarations on imported and exported goods.
VAT and Customs
The Customs Department has an important role to play in the implementation of VAT. The department will be responsible for collecting VAT on goods imported into St. Lucia.
